Wing support

The wing support consists of a GRP profile. Here we have several variants for the different wing profiles. These profiles are installed depending upon the type of aircraft in last third of the trailers rear on the soil and are padded sufficiently. These construction units can be used for another airplane. This is generally not necessary however, since the location in the trailer and the profiles do not change significantly. The airplanes, which fit into the appropriate trailer, anyhow have in the reference to the wing supports approximately the same geometry.

With airplanes with a strong sweep, for example the Discus, another problem is found. The supports have to be build in slanting to get an optimal formed support. This is reached by a distance wedge, which is screwed in between trailer soil and the actual GRP support.

Wing support Here you can see that the GRP profile was not screwed directly on the trailer soil. Because of the strong sweep of the wing (the trailer was prepared for a Discus) additionally a distance wedge made of hardwood was attached.
