Elevator mounting plate

The accommodation of the elevator is in the lift top. This place is used ever since lift tops are build. We dont know any lift top trailer where the elevator ws stored in another place. This place is a good and a very senceful place. The first part at the airplane which is demontaged has to be the first one into the trailer. In this way the elevator cannot be forgotten on the landing field, like it occurred already a lot of times with other trailers. The elevator is installed directly after montaging the wings. With both procedures (montage and demontage) is the trailer empty and can be stepped. Because of that fact, the mounting plate and the elevator are always accessible.

With the following pictures we already described the assembly place and gave you some tips. Before you start to install the mounting pate there is one thing to say. You have to think about the exact place of the mounting plate. That location is actually always already well given, but to control it with stored airplane is surely not bad. For this reason we recommend to do the assembly of the elevator mounting plate at the end of the conclusion. Take the elevator of the airplane and carry it to the trailer to specify the installation direction. It depends on whether you left or right handled and if you stand in front or behind the elevator when you demontage it. Those reasons may require another installation direction. With association airplanes this view is rather unimportant, since too many differently pilots are flying the and montage and/or demontage the airplane and with the worth case you have to turn the elevator once.

The upholstery for bringing the elevator into the fixed mounting plate is a litle bit small, but everbody has to consider how large the surface has to be.
