Padding

About the padding of the danger places some was partially already said and/or written with the descriptions of the appropriate details. Here we place the information only under this aspect together again.

As pad material essentially carpets and felt of diverse strength and quality, as well as some kinds of plastic mats can be used. Generally applies: Thinner materials like the carpets or also thin felt material assigned where the danger exists that with an airplane part a trailer or an accessory construction unit affects. Where a support or a bed for the airplane parts is to be created, generally thicker materials, felt or plastic are usually used. The difference between felt and plastic consists in this case only of the frictional behavior. With the fuselage it can be advisable to change over a plastic or even a rubber material. The disadvantage is obvious. An additional correction of the situation of the fuselage is only possible with difficulties, if the fuselage dolly were padded with a rubber mat (e.g. a building protection mat from recycling rubber).

The supply of the Paddingmaterial and the necessary adhesives is not contained in the development set. These materials must be bought by you.

In order to arrange the different padding, their form, color and function, we arranged some photos in the following.

Upholstery rudder

The rudder photographed from the trailor soil.. It is important to pull the upholstery in any case around the lower edge. The upholstery here should be as large as necessary and never to small.

Upholstery rudder

The upholstery of the rudder again from another perspective. We are by the way also the opinion that with this color choice a good optical impression is obtained.

Upholstery Outerwing/Winglet

The winglet and outerwing area should be well expenditure-padded. On the one hand here are the entire range and on the other the mounting plates themselves which have to be padded.

Upholstery wing dolly

With the wing dolly the support range and the front driving car are naturaly to be padded. You also see in the picture: The upholstery of the guide plate around the lower point of absorber.

Upholstery tail

Within the tail range of the trailer the wings are montaged and demontaged. Furthermore also the fuselage is shipped here. The edge is to be particularly protected. The chasiss sides are protected with the edge bags.

Upholstery ramp

The ramp represents a hazard potential for the GRP construction units. For this reason is the final range (essentially the cross beam is to be padded property).

Upholstery fuselage nose holder

The fuselage nose holder is usually padded with stronger foam material. This is because of the fact that we, despite a multiplicity of forms, can niot illustrate the exactly profile of the fuselage nose.

In this picture the shaping fit. Here we padded with relatively thin carpet.

Upholstery wing mounting plates

Special meaning gets to the upholstery of the construction units, which always during transport are in contakt with the airplane parts. This particularly applies to the four wing mounting plates (two in front and two in the back)

Upholstery elevator

The upholstery of the elevator consists of two subranges. On the one hand the contriving range must be padded into (usually) the front mounting plate. This is to be seen in this picture. Here we could have padded the frame too..

Upholstery elevator

On the other hand the mounting plates themselves, as construction units which are constantly in contact with the airplane parts, must be padded generously.

Upholstery high pressure absorber (upper point)

Also the upper critical point of the high pressure absorbers are a possible danger point for the wings of the airplane. The inner side of each case should be padded with carpet.

The same situation on the other side.

Upholstery fuselage dolly

Here the fuselage dolly was padded with carpet. You can use felt or plastic also.
